Dr Subhash Chandra, MD

Dr Subhash Chandra is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Gastroenterologist. After completing his medical degree at Mysore Medical College and Research Institute, Mysore, India Dr. Chandra went on to complete their residency in internal medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology at University of Iowa, where he gained extensive experience in performing endoscopic procedures and managing complex digestive disorders. Dr. Chandra’s commitment to excellence in patient care is evident in his compassionate approach to every case. He takes the time to listen to his patient’s concerns and work closely with them to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs. He specializes in gastroesophageal reflux disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, motility diseases (achalasia, gastroparesis, anorectal dyssynergia), irritable bowel syndrome, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease now known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), cirrhosis and colon cancer screening. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chandra is also actively involved in research and teaching. He has published numerous articles in medical journals and regularly presents at national and international conferences. As a respected educator, he also serves as a mentor to aspiring gastroenterologists, helping to train the next generation of medical professionals. He is an avid runner and enjoys hiking.
